Week Objectives - 15th of october


SCIENCE: 
We are starting with our new Science topic:
Helping Plants Grow Well! 
Help your kinds discover new things and share their findings with the class. 

IPC:
This week we will be consolidating all previous learning before our Exit Point next week!
Be sure to check the BLOG tomorrow for more information about our Exit Point and IPC homework!

ENGLISH:
To be able to read words with bossy "e" correctly.
To be able to form questions and get information from non-fiction text
To be able to locate words using a Dictionary/ Thesaurus
To be able to change past tense verbs into present tense

MATHS:
Relate 2-D and 3-D shapes to drawings and describe them
Identify patterns and relationships involving shapes


SCHOOL UNIFORM:
Remember that children need to wear their uniform in a tidy and neat way. Socks should be above the ankle bone, stud earrings for girls and hair should be cut short and neat for boys; the shirt collar, ears and eye brows should be visible!

United Nations Day:
Next coming Friday, 26th October, we will be celebrating United Nations Day! 2nd Graders will be representing United States of America. For this occasion  children will be working on different aspects that represent this country: celebrations,  famous people and landscapes, the map with all states and many more.
Children need to bring $2.00 for our UN Food Festival which will be organised by Madres Enlace.
