This Week's ojectives:
MATHS:
- To read and write whole numbers to at least 1000 in figures and words
- Count in steps of 3's, 4's, or 5's from any number and back
- Split numbers into hundreds, tens and ones (units)
- Count on from and back to zero in single-digit steps or multiples of 10
ENGLISH:
- To identify o and u sounds in words
- To be able to create questions
- To change sentences from 3rd person to first person
- To be able to retell a story in a letter
SCIENCE:
- To know how to keep teeth clean and healthy
- To create a model of their teeth
IPC:
- Be able to communicate their geographical knowledge and understanding to ask and answer questions about geographical and environmental features
READING INSET:
Remember to come to our 2nd Grade Reading Inset this coming Thursday, September 27th at 7:15 in your child's classroom! It will be very useful to understand how we work in class and make it easier for you at home.
CRAZY HAIR DAY:
Crazy Hair Day is on Monday, October 1st. Children may wear silly hair-do's or hats!
