= equals is the same as makes total altogether (+) leaves (-) answer

+ add and plus more greater bigger count on sum

- take-away subtract minus less fewer smaller count back difference

x multiply times lots of sets of groups of repeated addition once, twice, three times

÷ divide share between share equally repeated subtraction one each, two each
