Parents,
We have planned an
academic field trip on Friday 3rd of May to El Boquerón National
Park, located in the crater of the San Salvador
Volcano called
El Boquerón. This trip has been organized with the intention of providing the children an exciting Exit Point to the IPC unit “Active Planet”. This visit will be the culmination of the children’s learning process.

Our field trip is
scheduled to leave at 8:00am and be back in school at 1:30 pm. Children should be collected at the usual
time. The children will be transported by buses and escorted by Politur. The National park will provide us with two
guides for the duration of our visit. Before coming back to school, we will be making
a short stop at the amazing Lava Fields near the road to Quezaltepeque.
To ensure the
children’s safety the school is taking 11 staff members and one parent per
class.
Children will need
to bring plenty of water and food in their lunchbox, as we will be having a
picnic after our sight-seeing. Please
make sure your child wears their P.E. shirt, jeans, a cap and trainers; you may
also wish to apply some sun-block and insect repellent.
The cost of this
fieldtrip is $7.00; the fee includes transportation and entrance costs.
Please fill in the
form and return to your form teacher before Monday, 29th April. No further
applications will be accepted after this date.

Estimados padres de familia de 2do grado:
Nos dirigimos a ustedes para comunicarles que hemos organizado un paseo
educativo para el viernes 3 de mayo al Parque Nacional El Boquerón, ubicado en
el cráter del volcán de San Salvador.
Este paseo ha sido organizado con la intensión de promover el interés y
como cierre de la unidad del IPC “Planeta Activo”. Esta visita marcará el cierre en el proceso
de aprendizaje.
La visita está programada para salir del colegio a las 8:00 a.m. y estar
de regreso en la escuela a la 1:30 p.m. Los alumnos deberán ser recogidos a la
hora y lugar de costumbre. Los niños serán transportado en buses y escoltados
por la Politur. El parque Nacional nos
brindará los servicios de dos guías adicionales. Antes de regresar al colegio
haremos una parada en los campos de Lava ubicados sobre la carretera a
Quezaltepeque.
Para mayor seguridad al paseo irán 11 profesores del colegio y un padre
de familia por clase.
Para esta excursión los niños necesitarán una botella de agua y una
lonchera con abundante comida, ya que ellos tendrán un picnic después de la
visita. Favor asegúrese de que su hijo vista su camiseta del uniforme
de deporte, jeans, una gorra y tennis; pueden aplicarles protector solar y
repelente para mosquitos.
El costo de este paseo es de $7.00; ésto cubrirá el transporte y la
entrada al parque.
Favor llenar el volante adjunto y regresarlo a la profesora encargada
antes del lunes 29 de abril. No se
admitirán volantes después de la fecha indicada.
